Egîdê Cimo Music School gave its first graduates 2025-06-23 16:02:40   ISTANBUL - Egîdê Cimo Music School, established in Istanbul within the Ma Music Academy, gave its first graduates.    There was great interest in the graduation ceremony of the school, which educates children in Kurdish culture and art against cultural assimilation. Speaking at the event, Ma Music Coordinator Şerko Kanîwar thanked the families for their interest in the music school and said, “You embrace Kurdish culture and art. You are making an important effort for your children.”   Kanîwar emphasised that Egîdê Cimo Music School against assimilation is of great importance for the survival of Kurdish culture and art, and stated that their work will not be limited to this. Stating that they will also realise the Gund (Village in Kurdish) Ma project in Istanbul, Kanîwar said: “We want to build  a small Kurdistan for Kurdish children in Istanbul. We want to build a campus. Its name will be Gund Ma in Istanbul.” He emphasised that they will fight for Kurdish children to grow up in their mother tongue.    After the speech, students from Egidê Cimo Music School performed. Afterwards, the children were given their graduation certificates.
