Bakırhan and his accompanying delegation first met with officials from the world-renowned think tank Chatham House. The meeting was attended by many names, including politicians. At the meeting, Bakırhan provided information on the ongoing process in the context of the Kurdish issue and explained his perspectives on the solution to the wars and conflicts in the Middle East.
Bakırhan then participated in a day-long symposium organised at the House of Lords. Osman Baydemir, one of the Kurdish politicians in exile, and British politicians also attended the symposium, which attracted great interest from the press. Bakırhan gave information about the process and demanded support for the "Call for Peace and Democratic Society".
Emphasising that the status quo established in the region 100 years ago had created chaos, war and conflict, Bakırhan said that everyone should seek solutions to the problems in the region with a new perspective and philosophy.
